The article raises questions connected to the appropriation of the Sharia by Christian political system; the ability of the Latin political and legal system to include the norms of Islamic law into its judicial practice of local courts and of the Royal Curia. The author argues that Islamic law was not rejected by the legal system of Christians. The Sharia was present within the hierarchical legal space of Kingdom as its natural part.
